The Poet Tree

My Favorite Tree

of all the trees my favorite tree 

is the one called poet tree 

in Spring it's seeds fall gently down

and lightly settle on the ground.

they look like words to you and me 

but seeds they are from the poet tree.  

In Summertime these seeds will grow

as gentle tears upon them flow. 

and when those summer storms arrive 

we hope that most will still survive.

for in the Autumn fruit does fall 

and bring us hope that we can all 

work to keep the cold at bay 

and make it through that wintry day.

as the poet fruit keeps us alive

and Spring days filled with hope arrive,

then in this springtime we will see 

new seeds fall from the Poet's tree.
